About this vessel

This Outer Reef 65, ocean category vessel, was built to European standards so she plugs directly into NZ Power modules with NZ EWoF. She has exceptional range, seakeeping abilities and an abundance of navigation, communication and electronic features.

All Outer Reef Yachts are built to open Ocean Category “A” (wave heights 18-20′ and sustained winds of over 40 knots) and are a true bluewater cruiser, powered for fuel economy and long range.

A spacious entry to the salon is via the aft deck double doors where lays a 5 seat settee with return, height adjustable dining table and 3-seat breakfast bar. This follows to the large, well appointed galley with Granite bench tops and all the comforts of a modern kitchen. Forward of the galley is the pilot house which attributes a single STIDD helm chair upholstered in leather with L shaped settee and table.

This Outer Reef offers a generous layout with 4 cabins (9 berths). The Master Guest cabin features an island queen to starboard, his and her wardrobes, private head/and shower, and direct access to the engine room with double door space for sound insulation. Each cabin has an ensuite and beds fitted with linen, duvets and covers. The main passage way has a cupboard that opens to reveal a separate clothes washer and dryer. The twin crew cabin includes a head, basin and vanity, to ensure privacy.

All instrumentation is fully functional from the Bridge to the flybridge including autopilot, engine controls, bow/stern thrusters and full navigation data display through the Raymarine E120 screens and repeaters.

She’s powered by Twin Caterpillar C-9 (2700 hours each) diesel engines with 2 x 12v start banks, one for each engine with parallel capability and charger. Two Generators, Sealand toilet evacuation system, Fuel and water tanks monitored by Tank Tender and Xantrex XW Hybrid Inverter/Charger.

Based in Auckland she is available to view with Orakei Marine by appointment only.
