Orakei Marine are the proud new sponsors of the Grammar TEC Juniors. Orakei’s local Rugby Club, based on Reihana Street.
The Snashall family’s connection with the Grammar TEC Rugby club extends all the way back to 2015 when the first GTEC Juniors under 6’s rugby team was coached by Karl Pokino.
This was the year the Snashall twins, Jacob and Summer, both started playing rugby for the club.
Jason soon became Team Manager and then went onto coaching Summer and Jacob’s team up until 2020 when the twins became the first GTEC Juniors to play all the way through to the Under 13 team.
The Snashall’s passion for rugby was contagious. Their youngest daughter Sam Snashall wasn’t on the side line for long, and started playing for the GTEC under 6’s in 2017 at the age of five. She is still playing for the club today with Sarah managing her Under 10 team and Jason helping as assistant coach.
Orakei Marine have been sponsoring the GTEC Juniors since 2017, and we are excited this year to sign up for a three year agreement to be the main sponsor for the GTEC Juniors, adding our logo all the kids playing jerseys.
“We love supporting our local club and think it’s a great fit and synergy for both parties,” says Sarah Snashall. “Our favourite part of the weekend in winter is standing on the side-line cheering on our kids teams, rugby is such a great team building sport, and such a big part of growing up in New Zealand.”
