Orakei Marine was proud to host Colin MacRae from Sailing Parlay Revival on board a beautiful Lagoon 50. It was a real treat to take him and some of his guests out sailing for the day. We didn’t get much wind, but the weather held and we managed to get the sails up for a leisurely jaunt on the Hauraki Gulf. Watch the feature in his YouTube episode here.
Our staff and many of the guests had fun getting hands-on and helping out setting and stowing the main sail and the foresail, and we even got the code zero out to play. We enjoyed the views of Rangitoto and Motuihe island while snacking on a delicious platter of French cheeses and charcuterie.
It was really encouraging to hear so many positive stories from his followers about Colin’s inspirational journey on his Lagoon 450 in the Caribbean. It’s great to see such support for a young kiwi adventurer!
