Recap: Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show
Orakei Marine stands out from the rest at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.
We’ve just wrapped up another year at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show and the huge level of interest received in our Jeanneau Power Range on display has now converted into immediate sales.
The Merry Fisher range drew so much attention and positive comparisons with NZ built boats in the same class it was an easy buying decision for many of our guests. Inviting, large light interiors and aft closing doors were the comments we heard most.
The NC9 took center stage within our stand and provides a logical step from our Merry Fisher line of trailerable boats to the larger Jeanneau launch range. The NC9 with it’s single engine diesel power provided another round of discussion regarding the “single” or “twin” debate with Buyer’s sharing their views and experiences on the water with both installations.
Our Leader 36, which was used in the upcoming FISH of the DAY TV series and was featured on TV One’s Breakfast had the hosts raving about how it was ‘their dream boat’. It was one of our busiest boats, not only due the publicity received but because it so ideally suits on the water requirements for all the members of the family and friends that boating is all about. An awesome boat and an awesome display to match!
Our stand in Hall 6 was definitely one of the busiest with plenty to see and do – the guys from FISH of the DAY showcased their exciting upcoming TV series due to air at the end of the year. We had people lining up to sample the delicious Smoked Kahawai crumpets and Snapper Wings care of well renowned chef Anthony McNamarra.. and a bevy of people there to listen to our guest speakers from Legasea and Sustainable Coastlines.
All in all an excellent show, with boats being sold and exciting and encouraging feedback from our guests!
