All Outer Reef Yachts are built to open Ocean Category "A" (wave heights 18-20' and sustained winds of over 40 knots. This 65' Outer Reef is a true bluewater cruiser, powered for fuel economy and long range.

This ocean category vessel was built to required Australian standards, and is a one owner yacht who has a long history of yacht ownership. She has traveled from Australia to New Zealand and back and has exceptional range, seakeeping abilities and an abundance of navigation, communication and electronic features.

Her owner keeps the yacht in exceptional condition with a full time captain, and is strongly considering a much larger Outer Reef new build after his very positive experience with his 65’ Outer Reef.

A spacious entry to the salon is via the aft deck double doors where lays a 5 seat settee with return, height adjustable dining table and ottomans and 3-seat breakfast bar.  This follows to the large, well appointed galley, then on to the pilot house. which attributes a single STIDD helm chair upholstered in leather with banquette and table. The full Bose lifestyle sound system allows separate streams in main salon, aft deck, pilot house and flybridge.

This Outer Reef offers a generous layout with 4 cabins (9 berths). The Master Guest cabin features an island queen to starboard, his and her wardrobes, private head/and shower, whilst the master cabin has direct access to the engine room with double door space for sound insulation. Each bed is fitted with custom made bed linen, duvets and covers. The twin crew cabin includes a head, basin and vanity, to ensure privacy.

All instrumentation is fully functional from the flybridge including autopilot, engine controls, bow/stern thrusters and full navigation data display through the Raymarine E120 screen.

She’s powered by Twin Caterpillar C-9 (1321 hours each) diesel engines with 2 x 12v start banks, one for each engine with parallel capability and charged via Victron Centaur charger. Another offshore benefit includes a HRO water maker capable of 240 litres per hour with integrated fresh water flush.  The Fuel and water tanks are monitored by Tank Tender.

Based in Auckland she is available to view with Orakei Marine by appointment.
