Jeanneau Merry Fisher 695, not just gaming

Double attack for Jeanneau Merry Fisher range: 2015 marks the debut for Jeanneau Merry Fisher 695 and Merry Fisher 605.

What we’ve seen during recent years in the Merry Fisher range, is more attention to the needs of all the boaters, not only fishing passionate. With the 695, Jeanneau wants to confirm their European leadership in the segment, with a unit that matches professional solutions (even more so) with new spaces to enjoy life on board. Along with the new 605, they follow the footsteps of Merry Fisher 645 and 625, real bestsellers with thousands of units delivered, and also of the latest Merry Fisher 755.

Designed by Centowski & Denert, the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 695 features a deep-vee hull to grant a steady navigation and large spaces on board. The outboard engine can reach 175 HP, as the new hull design allows excellent performance with a reasonable power, thus lower price and reduced consumption. The 695 is a dayboat, but can host passengers for a weekend: belowdecks there’s room for a queen berth and a separate heads, while beside the helm station the dinette can turn into a double bed and there’s a small galley behind the pilot’s seat.

A wide sliding door links the salon with the cockpit, the latter featuring a U-couch along the sides which turns into a dinette or a solarium. A small gate to port leads to the double swim platfrom, on both sides of the engine. Good to know that it’s possible to lift the outboard completely, without touching the couch.

Directly inspired by the sibling 695, the new Merry Fisher 605 is the new entry level of the range. Despite one meter shorter than the 695 (579 cm overall and 551 LH, as compared to 690 and 643 for the larger unit), the 605 can be the ideal boat to discover the joy of cruising. The U-shaped coach (optional) in the cockpit offers tha chance to dine al fresco (rare on this size), while the same couch becomes a solarium that can be used even when the engine is lifted for shallow-water anchoring. 3 or 4 berths can be obtained in the cabin and the transformable dinette inside, while the pilot’s seat hides an essential galley cabinet.
