A Cruising Sports Fisher, or a Sports Fishing Cruiser... your choice.

Introduced in 1987 as a replacement for the 48 Sport Yacht, the Cheoy Lee 50 Sportfisherman features greater beam, a third stateroom, and more conservative styling than her predecessor. Airex coring is used extensively in the hull construction.

Designed by Tom Fexas and built by Cheoy Lee, speed and seakeeping are hallmarks of all Fexas designs. At only 36,000 pounds—very light indeed—the 50 Sportfisherman has the displacement of a much smaller boat. Weight reduction leads to better fuel efficiency. This boat is set up to cruise or fish and can do both well.

Her three-stateroom/ two head layout is efficiently arranged with the U-shaped galley forward and separated from the salon by a serving counter.

A walkaround double berth is fitted in the master stateroom, there is a VIP double stateroom forward and a “bunk” cabin portside. Both head compartments are equipped with separate stall showers and electric toilets.. Outside, the side decks are wide, and the uncluttered cockpit is designed for serious fishing activities.

The tournament-style flybridge is large for a 50-foot convertible and features a built-in seating for eight. Twin 735hp 8V92 diesels cruise the Cheoy Lee 50 Sportfisherman at 18 – 20 knots.

CASSIUS has had recent paint and the exterior shows extremely well. Please contact us for a list or recent upgrades.
