Bought with the intention of offshore cruising, this Sun Odyssey 45 has had a series of upgrades and features added – A dedicated step for safe and comfortable offshore sailing. Her current owners decided to upgrade to this model after happily owning a Jeanneau 42DS. Whilst the model was delivered in 2007, it has been built to the 2008 specification.
Some of her key upgrades include: new Hyde mainsail, genoa and staysail (2015), standing and running rigging replaced (2016), new teak deck (2017/18), new Furlex LS 290 installed (2017), hull epoxied (2016), new cockpit cushions (2017) and a new EPIRB (2018).
Her interior is exceptionally comfortable. Designed with both warmer and cooler climates in mind, there is a diesel heating system and a total of six 12v fans fitted throughout.
With three large double cabins, there’s plenty of space for family and friends or extra storage space for living onboard. Her forward master cabin has an en-suite and a large bed with plenty of storage. The aft guest cabins share an additional head with shower and it is even possible to remove the dividing bulkhead between them, to create a very large aft cabin.
Her L shaped galley is to starboard and has a 12V top and front open fridge with a separate coolbox that has been upgraded to run as an additional 12V fridge or freezer. Both units are fitted with a keel cooler.
The cockpit on this Sun Odyssey 45 is extremely spacious, with lots of space to entertain and a bimini and sprayhood for ultimate protection. Access at the stern is effortless with twin helms.
