Full Description

EXTERIOR

The North Pacific 59/590 is designed with a serious yet classy look. With an LOA of 61’4”, a beam of 18’4” and a high plumb bow, the NP59 has a presence that can’t be missed.

The NP59 is built on a semi-displacement hull which provides good stability, meeting CE Class A, for a comfortable and safe cruise. The hull also allows for higher cruise and top speeds when the need arises.

Twin skegs provide protection to the running gear, negating the worry of prop damage in most twin engine applications.

The hull has a beautiful planked look, adding character. It is solid, hand-laid fiberglass. This makes it both very strong and heavy, which adds to the stability. A vinyl ester resin is used in the outer two layers of the hull and superstructure to prevent blistering. Below the waterline is additional protection in the form of an epoxy barrier. The fiberglass stringers are made on a separate mold and then glassed into the hull in a rigid grid design.

The superstructure is made of fiberglass and cored primarily with a lightweight closed cell foam, helping to reduce weight and lower the center of gravity. Rigid PVC is used as coring in areas that require more strength (where the upper helm seat is bolted, for example). Wood is not used as a coring material. The hull and superstructure are a shoebox design and are epoxied and fiberglassed together for a strong and lasting bond.

The plumb bow adds to the great look of the NP59 but is also practical by adding considerably to the waterline and interior space. A longer WL also increases fuel economy at displacement speeds and we have found no negative performance aspects of a plumb bow.

All stainless steel railings are large diameter #316L for safety. They also provide an impressive feel.

Exterior cushions are upholstered with Ultraleather and reticulated foam for comfort and durability. The NP59 comes standard with Sunbrella exterior covers for the seating and helm.

Flybridge

The standard North Pacific 59 configuration includes a spacious flybridge. A low-maintenance hardtop with dimmable overhead lights is standard. The port side has a large L seating area with a dining table.

Combined with dual helm seats at the helm, this area is great for entertaining or while underway where everyone can enjoy a great view.

An optional barbeque station with a sink, storage and a fridge can be added.

Aft of the seating area is space for chaise lounges and aft of here is space for a 16’ dinghy. The NP59 comes equipped with a full function UMT hydraulic davit crane making launch and recovery easier.

There is an Aritex sliding stainless steel/glass hatch for accessing the stairway to the cockpit from the flybridge.

Foredeck and Portuguese Bridge

A walk around deck on the starboard side (full walk around available) leads to the portuguese bridge and foredeck. The walk around deck is safe with high walls and railings. You can access the walk around from the cockpit or the starboard side pilothouse door. Forward of the portuguese bridge is a seating area and small table; a great place to enjoy a sunset with a glass of wine.

The impressive Lofrans Titan B windlass is standard on the 59 and comes equipped with 280’ of ½” G4 high test chain and a 121# Rocna anchor. Raised gunwales and high 1.5” railings provide good security when tending to the anchor. The chain locker is split allowing for a full second rode or a great storage space. There are also large storage lockers on the forward side of the portuguese bridge.

Cockpit and Swim Platform

The cockpit is fully covered and spacious. The deck is covered with low maintenance Flexiteek which adds a rich look and reduces the need to clean the deck. Enjoy breakfast or hors d’oeuvres at a large settee at the aft end of the cockpit with a polished teak table.

A heavy custom made Aritex stainless steel and glass sliding door is an impressive entry into the salon from the cockpit.

Access to the cockpit is via transom doors on each side of the seating area. A curved staircase to the cockpit on each side gives the feeling of entering a mega yacht. The deep swim platform is covered with Flexiteek and has comfortable entry points to the dock. Access to the lazarette is through a pantograph style watertight Aritex door.

INTERIOR

The 59 interior is available with a standard traditional teak option or our 590 option (pictured) with horizontal teak grain, accent wenge wood and fabric panels.

North Pacific interiors are finished to world-class standards with fine materials and finishes. We’ve hired experts and have spent years training our staff in the techniques that we use to attain the level of finish that we and our customers expect. The interior is carefully choreographed for the perfect feel with hand-crafted teak paneled walls, accent wood, dovetailed drawers, book matched cabinetry, and beautiful wood floors. Headroom and window size is maximized throughout and combined with extensive light layering, giving the NP59 a warm and luxurious feel.

Salon

We believe in large interior living spaces and the NP59 does not disappoint. We eliminated the port side walk around (full walk around available) making for an impressive salon that feels more like a living room. Open space between the salon and pilothouse adds to the visibility and the spacious feel.

The salon is customizable and there are many different layouts to choose from. The standard layout includes custom Van Gogh furniture for the ultimate comfort and luxury feel. Built in settees are available. Furniture or settees are generally on the port side across from a pop up 60” TV.

Visibility in the salon is nearly 360 degrees from the impressive entry door to the large side windows all the way to the forward pilothouse windows.

There is access to the lazarette and engine room via a stairway at the aft starboard side of the salon.

Day Head

A convenient day head is located at the forward starboard side of the salon.

Galley

The galley, or maybe we should call it the kitchen, is spacious and well equipped. Standard equipment includes a large capacity fridge, oven, cooktop and dishwasher. Several choices of quality appliances are available. Large counters spaces and a large single or dual sink makes prep and clean up easy. Along the forward edge of the galley is a bar area and bar stools as well as a settee forward of the bar. This makes a great entertaining space and the chef will be in good company. Exterior visibility from the galley, bar and settee is superb.

Pilothouse

Forward of the galley is the pilothouse in the standard configuration. When a skylounge is chosen this helm is eliminated. With either layout there is a large L settee with a table. Visibility from the pilothouse is great and allows for a 360 degree view. There is a comfortable Llebroc or Stidd helm seat in the center. The raised dash is well equipped with two 16” multifunction Garmin displays, auto pilot, VHF and other controls.

On the starboard side is a heavy duty pantograph style, watertight door. This door provides easy access to the, portuguese bridge, walk around deck and access to the dock via a bulwark door. This combined with great visibility makes for easy handling. A Dockmate remote is also an option.

Optional Skylounge

The flybridge helm area can be built as a fully enclosed skylounge offering a truly stunning interior steering station and another indoor entertaining area. Enjoy fantastic 360 degree visibility while piloting the vessel or simply enjoying the beautiful scenery. Forward visibility is unparalleled for captain and crew. Dual Stidd or Llebroc helm seats are standard as is a well-equipped helm area. Aft of the helm is a large L settee with a table. A sliding SS/glass door opens for easy access to the aft flybridge area.

LOWER DECKS

Staterooms

Several stateroom layouts are available depending on individual needs. Choose two or three staterooms forward with an optional crew/grandkid quarters in the lazarette. Two heads and two showers are standard in all layouts.

Master Stateroom

The full beam master stateroom features a centerline nearly-king bed. There are large windows with opening ports on each side so you can relax and enjoy the morning view from bed. Multiple layers of lighting, high ceilings and different wall textures provide a comfortable and luxurious space.

The size of the master stateroom rivals much larger vessels. View the layout diagrams for various options. You can choose to optimize the space in the second guest stateroom or build a more expansive master stateroom with walk in closets and additional outboard storage.

Guest Stateroom

This stateroom can be configured in several different arrangements and the space available depends on the layout chosen for the master stateroom. One option is for this room to be configured with three berths. The two lower beds can be used as single beds or they can slide together to make a double. There is a fold down bunk on the wall. Another option is to make the room into a convertible office/bunk room or the space can be used as part of a greater master stateroom. Please see the layout diagrams.

VIP Guest Room

The forward guest stateroom is truly designed for guests to feel like VIPs. The plumb bow design allows the island queen bed to be low and easily accessible. There is plenty of storage in the stateroom, high ceilings and two large windows with opening ports. There is a private entrance to the shared guest head and shower.

The spray chines on the NP59 are raised and this eliminate “chine slap” in most conditions allowing for a quiet night for guests and owners alike.

Lazarette

Unique in this size range, the lazarette on the North Pacific 59 has an impressive 6’5” of headroom. With headroom like this, there are many great options for use of this space. It can be built as a storage room with a work bench and laundry. The lazarette can also accommodate a proper fourth stateroom that is slightly larger than the second stateroom on an NP45. This stateroom would include a double bed and athwartship bunk. A head and separate shower can also be built in the lazarette with or without the stateroom.

Access to the lazarette is via a convenient stairway from the salon or from the swim platform through a watertight Aritex door.

EQUIPMENT

For reliable operation, easy maintenance and safety, no expense was spared in our selection of equipment on the NP59. This is evident from the moment you see the NP59 with exterior fittings made by Aritex, the builder of superyacht equipment. Inside you’ll find quality equipment from major systems to the hardware in the background.

The North Pacific 59 is equipped with robust twin Cummins QSL405 9L engines. These engines are overbuilt, providing less hp than many 6L engines. Twin QSL engines will provide a top speed of approximately 12.5 knots and cruise speeds from 7-11 knots. Aquadrive shaft systems and thrust bulkheads reduce noise and vibration. With thrust bulkheads there is less stress on the engines and engine mounts. Noise is reduced further with quality sound insulation and foam cored floors throughout the boat, resulting in a smooth and quiet cruise. The twin engine running gear is protected with twin fiberglass skegs making costly prop damage much less likely. Manship moisture eliminators provide engine room ventilation and keep the space dry.

The engine room is very spacious and unique to this size category, has an impressive 6’5” of headroom. The space is brightly lit and equipment is laid out for easy access. With a combination of teak and black rubber floor as well as aluminum wall panels and stainless engine mounts, the engine room is both functional and spectacular.

Wiring chases and equipment were carefully planned throughout the boat for easy access, maintenance and future installations.

Like all North Pacific Yachts, the NP59 comes with an extensive list of standard equipment which is customizable to suit your individual needs and goals.
