Reverse Exhaust Relief
Exhaust gases are diverted away from the propeller while in reverse, allowing the propeller to run in clean water. Delivering instant reverse response and much finer control.
Solid Performance
The Honda Programmed Ignition (PGM-IG) accurately controls ignition timing to provide an optimum torque and throttle response.
Low Vibration Mounting System
Honda’s rubber mounts provide smoother operation at all speeds, with reduced vibration and noise.
High Output Charging
The large 6 Amp charging alternator delivers more power to maintain the battery charge and keep electronics going even at trolling speeds.
Easy Manual Tilt
This light engine is easy to tilt in stages, up or down, enabling you to manually trim the boat to give you maximum performance and fuel efficiency.
Foldaway Handles
The BF8 has foldaway handles built-in, positioned exactly on the point of balance to make them really easy to transport – even carrying them around they look fantastic.
Easy on Your Wrist
Forward mount shift lever for fingertip gear changing. It’s so much easier to operate and better located than other outboards, whether you’re right or left-handed. Together with a soft grip throttle handle and a twist-lock, it’s effortless. You can roll on and off the power all day long or lock it off (just like cruise control).
